Christian Shomber, CFA has been with KMEFIC as Chief Investment Officer since 2008. He also runs KMEFIC’s GCC Asset Management business where he oversees the development of strategy and investment management for all client and proprietary assets across local, GCC and international markets for all asset classes.

Mr. Shomber brings over 19 years of comprehensive capital markets experience in the US and International markets involving management of institutional investments, corporate finance, economic infrastructure development, marketing, sales, and client service groups. Prior to joining KMEFIC, Mr. Shomber was a senior investment executive for 15 years spanning service from SEI Capital Resources Consulting to SEI Investments Institutional Group.

Over his tenure, he held several principal roles including Head of Institutional and Trustee Directed Services, and led the establishment of several new markets including one of the earliest asset management programs for Islamic investors in the US during the 1990’s. Mr. Shomber holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.

He is an active member of the CFA Institute, CFA Kuwait Society, and has served on several international Boards and Advisory Committees between North America, Asia and the GCC.
