Aburida, Addax Bank’s Acting Chief Executive Officer and Director and head of M&A and strategic investments, Waha Capital, Abudhabi, has 20 years of extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, investment banking, equity research, corporate development, finance and management fields. Prior to joining Waha Capital, Aburida was Managing Director of Investment Banking for Nollenberger Capital Partners Inc., a full-service broker-dealer investment banking firm, based in San Francisco, California, USA. Aburida’s previous significant postings in the US included his tenure with DCA Partners, LLC as Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking.

Prior to DCA, Aburida was Director and co-head of the Global M&A group for Intel Corporation, where he was responsible for structuring and negotiating acquisitions, divestitures, spinouts and minority equity investments across all of Intel’s business lines. Prior to Intel, Aburida was an M&A investment banker at Bowles Hollowell Conner/First Union Securities and previously worked as an investment banking associate in the Technology M&A group at Lehman Brothers in New York.

Aburida was also an equity research analyst at Prudential Securities in New York. Aburida also holds various Board memberships and affiliations, these include: Addax Bank, Jordan Dubai Capital, Ishraq Gulf Real Estate Holding, First Education Holding, Education Capital, Al Bashayer Investment Company, and MENA Infrastructure Fund.

Aburida has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and business from Lake Forest College and holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, US.
